A 10 minute job took 2 hrs. Sidelampbulb popped so out with the screwdivers for what I thought would be an easy job.
3 of the scews holding the glass in were siezed, so drilled the heads off, removed the complete unit. The broken remains could not be budged and the brass inserts were starting to turn in the housing. £250+ for a new unit or same prob with a used one?
I drilled the old screws out slowly and carefully as not to generate too much heat and melt the plastic, retapped the brass inserts and fitted new stainless allen screws with a bit of Optimoly.
Checked the other side and it's the same. So if yours move get some antiseize on now or be prepared for a busy time.

One of my driving light assemblies is only held on by 2 of the 3 screws, but the bumper cover over the top ensures that it won't go anywhere. I gave up trying to drill out the stubborn screw. I probably didn't have quite the right equipment.

One of mine is held together with silicone sealant! Quite a common "repair".

One I've seen recently had the broken glass held together with silicon!
