Having had need of the Spacesaver wheel recently I now can't get it to fit properly back in the wheel well :banghead:

How do you get all the air out????

No idea it's something I've always wondered!
Will the pump run backwards?

When we meet up at club night I will let you into my secret method

Took me ages to sort out when I refurbished my wheels over the winter

In my car the spare wheel is part of the frontal impact protection system.

Therefore, it is a tight fit, just like another rubber product I have read about

You need to leave it for a few days, the rubber compresses and it does get smaller but not as small as if it had never been inflated.

That does not work, the one I have was inflated and deflated within the hour, that was 4 years ago and its still the same

Try a ratchet strap round the outside of the tyre, tightening as you deflate the tyre

I'd wondered about that method actually, thinking about it I think that's the way someone did it on Titanic.

Yeah, you#ll get nowhere without removing the centre of the valve, replace it once it's deflated
