Have you tried an impact wrench/socket maybe?

You could try them after a good long run, atleast the gearbox will be nice and hot ??????????

It might help

Make sure you get the filler one loose first.

the next question (as i have to do mine this weekend) is how do you get the oil in, I have a 5 gallon tub but I can guess its not going to fit up to the fill hole, so i can not por it in.

Getting it in is easy, decant into a fairy liquid bottle with a length of pipe on it & use that to pump it in.
Or use a large bladder syringe if you know a medical person... (married to a nurse so I know these things! )

As for getting the plugs out then it maybe worth dropping the silencer off to get better access. Plenty of penetrating oil on the mid length bolts & repaint the heat sheild whilst it's off.

I managed to snap the end off a ratchet. I decided to let my local grease monkey do it. I'm gunna get him to stick on the stainless rear brake hozes i didn't mange to fit when i did the fronts too. I'm just feeling lazy at the moment..

Picked up my car after having the transaxle oul change and the brakes bled, he even fitted one of the rear stainless hozes but couldn't get one of the old ones off. £72.
The odd thing is now my car starts first time! even when warm and its stopped doing that odd stuttering at cruzeing speeds. I'm gunna ring him up tomorrow and ask him if he did anything else...

These cars always seem to respond better after a little TLC. They must be female ;)
