I'm trying to work out which manufacturers supplied front struts and dampers for the 924. Am I right in thinking standard fitment was Boge?

PET list Koni for 924 and turbo, Bilstein for Carrera GT.

For reasons which are slightly convoluted I need to know if Boge struts will fit on a 1983 car. :)

The Haynes manual lists the struts as:

"Boge or Koni (Koni standard 1980 - onwards)"

Does that mean the Boge struts will still fit on a post-1980 car? I'm guessing so...

There were several 'manufacturers' used for the front struts on the 924. two have already been mentioned: Boge and Koni, the third was Fechtal and Sachs. Now Sachs.

Hi cliff,

Any idea if they're interchangeable? To be blunt, I might be able to get a good deal on some Boge struts through work, but I need to make sure they'll fit my '83 car.

Chris

ETA: And it appears they do. Spoke to a friend of a friend who works at Autofarm and it seems the Boge part number is listed for the full duration of the production run.
