I've got a second hand lower rear spoiler to fit and was wondering if there are supposed to be any seals or rubber washers to fix between the valance and the body work ? . there appears to be some sponge or rubber residue around a couple of the fixing points . i've checked the PET catalogue and it just lists washers and doesn't mention what material they are made of . i've also checked with my local OPC parts department and they don't know either but said they will do some more investigation .

I took mine off recently for a re-spray it did not have any washers

I do not know if this is correct but fits perfectly, I can not see any reason for having them
