Having just discovered the cause of the 'knocking' on the front of the car, on uneven surfaces, how difficult is it to replace just the rear rubber bushes on the suspension 'A' arms?. It appears that my offside bushing has completely disintegrated, and the arm is rolling about within the bits that's left.... Is it worth replacing with polyflex, or flowflex PV type bushes?, or is the ride compromised and harder on these god awful UK roads?

On the 968? The front arm rear bush is a seperate part & the rubber is moulded into the metal carrier. You can replace them with aftermarket items but i've never found them to fit very well. I'd suggest replacing with the genuine part. Do a search for '968 castor mount'.

Easy to replace, but you will need to do the geo afterwards.

Well I went with the 'uprated' original OEM castor mounts, and a full 4 wheel geo-reset as well WoW!, what a difference !. just thinking of refreshing the anti -roll bar bushes now.... :D :D
