Well the Porker has now been back on the road for one week and I thought I would share my findings as I have been using it for about 60+ miles a day commuting and some fun as well.

Firstly, it drinks petrol when I drive slowly. I appear to get better MPG by going faster so that is solved for now!

Secondly it is very comfy, my back is hurting less than commuting in the MX5 or an E46 I had last year so that is a plus.

It is great for the overtakes on my route :)

I am an idiot for deciding to take the pure back road route this morning. Sheet ice everywhere for about 13 miles. Hilarious fun though :)

All in all I love the car again!

Who else commutes in their car? I know there is a red S2 in Bath as he parks by my parents house everyday in Weston Village!

Congrats on getting it back up and running. It's a nice feeling.

I have no qualms about commuting in my car, it's no garage queen! I do however usually commute the 7 miles by bicycle, it's more fun (I run a 924, that's my excuse).

Great news Andy, really glad you'er enjoying it.

I drive a van for work so don't have a commute, but A9XXC lives on the drive and is the default vehicle ( we also have a Hyundai Coupe SE and a Galaxy) makes everyday driving fun!

If you want a longer drive on Sunday 5th Feb come over to Rutland Water and see a few more 944s.

Details on the PCGB 944 Forum

It's been out this week for the trip to Swindon and back. Rangie is poorly :-(
It is however, absolutely filthy.
Ah well off to Promax for some choice changes on Monday so maybe they will clean it!

Hopefully the whole 9 yards (ish)
Wortec exhaust, kw3s, dpw, chips, 3bfr geo and set up. Should be a very different car when it comes back. Only caveat will be if the block won't take it, leak down tests from the summer were ok but they'll put an endoscope into the bores first to check. Fingers crossed.
Rangie is a 94 classic LSE on gas. Hopefully that is fixed and I can have it to use for the next couple of weeks.

That sounds very exciting! I am looking forward to being able to concentrate on upgrades rather than fixes to the car. When are you collecting it?

What is the rangie like on the gas and how much do you pay for the LPG?

Late christmas I suppose! Noone wanted to buy it so I figured I'd keep it!
Dropped it off today so hopefully it will be back in 2-3 weeks.
Exhaust set to quiet! I think its the last wortec one they have and I'm not sure they are doing more. Maybe.

Rangie is fine on gas - I use the Countrywide scheme which is a little bit cheaper, around 67p a litre. There are pumps in Chip, Swindon, Marlborough, Melksham etc around here.
Very slightly less power but its barely noticeable.
