This relay has been bypassed since before i had the car. The car will not start without the bypass wire.

It's 4 pin, and it's under the steering wheel, one wire is yellow, the other yellow and black. It does not appear to have been added later, everything looks origional.

Car is a 1982 944.

Thanks for any pointers!

No idea I'm afraid. Suspect it is a later addition, as I'm pretty sure my '83 didnt have anything like that there.

I'm having similar problems...

If I put the correct relay in (x) then my intermittant wipe in on all the time! its basically all or nothing!

Still scratching my head about this one :?

If it is a later addition it's done very well. Did porsche supply and fit alarms back then?

Hi,

Just had a quick look at mine and can't see anything that looks like that.

Will have a proper look tomorrow as taking drivers seat out, so will be easier to see.

Early cars didn't have alarms as standard, but both of mine have had at least 2 aftermarket ones fitted.

My electric window motor relay goes into a socket like that I think. But then the wiring on my lux is a bit crazy, really need to spend some time on it...
