Hi Guys

Does anyone know if there is a written procedure that i can print off for removing my radiator on my 1991 944 S2. I have a very small hole at the bottom of the radiator so i thought i would remove it and take it to one of the specialists to have a look at it for me. The car is off the road for the winter at the moment so a good time to get these jobs done.

Kind Regards

Tony

I haven't seen an online guide but its not tricky.

Get the car on stands, remove undertray, drain coolant via the blue screw on the radiator. Remove the 6 screws holding the fan assembly on (3 top, 3 bottom) & the 2 elec connectors. Take the fans out the bottom.
Undo the top & bottom hoses, expansion tank hose & rad fan switch wires.
At the top slacken off the 2 top bolts (10mm head with a 13mm locknut) & tilt the rad towards the engine. Lift it over the bottom rubber mounts & drop out the bottom. Job done!

You may want to remove the hose on the waterpump union to give yourself a bit more room & dont get the undertray & fan bolts mixed up!!!! The fan ones are special stubby ones - using the standard length will puncture the rad!

The turbo procedure is a bit more involved.
