Post subject: | Fuel gauge problem |
Hi all, I have a fuel gauge problem, it never gets above half full even after I have fill it up. I have changed the fuel sender but is it just the same. Any ideas on what the problem/solutions might be? |

Hi Gary, I have exactly the same problem on my 68 with the exception that it gets to 3/4 full. I've also replaced the sender unit without any success. If anyone knows the solution I'd be interested in hearing too. All the best, |

If its not the sender, it has to be the fuel gauge or wiring. See if you are gettign 12 volts at the sender. Alasdair |

It is generally the gauge & the vast majority seem to do it! Mine only goes to 3/4 when brimmed & sits at a 1/4 when on fumes. I just go by the trip. |
