I've been keeping an eye on some mo30 front dampers from a 944 turbo (think buy it now for £275) on ebay. Just wondering if they are likely to fit a 924?
I think all the ones currently fitted may need replacing soon anyway, they seem to feel a little soft and they could be about 10 - 15 years old anyway (rears were deffinetly replaced some time ago as they're monroe's and looking a bit filthy lol).

Been there, bought some, sold them again!!

You need to replace all the front suspension parts on the 924 with '95/96 age 944 turbo parts. Including hubs, stub axles, brakes etc. This then pushes out the hubs which on a narrow body car, or non 944/CGT kitted car makes wheel fitment an issue. You will also need to fit 16' wheels to cover the Brembos.

The other issue is second hand Koni M030 suspension is likely to be tired at best and probably in need of a rebuild at Koni. Another £6-800 a set. Corrosion is an issue on these units and ally coil seats can become seized. When looking at that price there is better, more modern options such as GAZ coil overs which is what I went for.

Whats your overall plans, budget?

Oh well, had to ask. Never mind, but at those rebuild costs i think i'll leave 'em!
I was thinking of lowering about 1 inch, not much more though, and replacing current dampers with some bilstien sport ones all round, prior to seeing the mo30's on ebay. I was also thinking of fitting a rear and stiffer front arb and polybushes at some point.
Any thoughts?
