Hi,

My '85 (square dash) 944 is missing the top part of it's windscreen seal, and the two side "hockey sticks" aren't exactly pristine.

Is it still possible to get the top trim? I have seen the side trims for sale in various places, but never the top one. (new or used).
Alternatively, is it possible to retro fit the seal from an oval dash car onto it? I can't see an obvious reason why not, but surely someone's tried it before?

Thanks for any help,

Andy

Hi Andy, I think I have a second hand top trim in my parts somewhere. Will have a look today, saw it a while back.

Hi Alasdair, that would be great if you have one. Please pm me where you are and how much you are looking for for it.

Im sure I read something on here about replacing the old seals with the newer kind but I cant remember if it involves a different size windscreen. :?

The early 944 has a recessed windscreen like the 924. The oval dash cars have a flush fit screen I believe, so I imagine that the seals are not interchangeable without changing the screen. For your info, the surrounds and seals on the 924 are exactly the same as on the early 944-you might find those easier to find!
