 Post subject: Crank sensor

Hi Guys as you may have seen from my earlier post my 944 turbo suddenly would'nt start for no reason drove it put in the garage next time nothing turned over but no spark anyway had it picked up and the garage have comfired its the crank sensor. Has any one else had this happen ! is it common and do they just go . about 80 quid plus the the labour so not a fortune to put right but very annoying by the way are they hard to change. Guys at central will try and be there Monday

Yes they can let you down. Not what I'd call a common fault but can and do fail from what I've read. Don't forget that the youngest 944's are over 15 years old now..
