Sadly not a joke... Started noticing yesterday a slight rattle/knock from the driver's side front end. It has definitely got worse today and seems at its worst on a left turn over uneven ground. It is not constant as I'm driving along. I'm guessing it's a ball joint or some other rubber component in the running gear. I'd like to have a look myself... I'm no mechanic but keen and fairly bright ![]() Cheers, Jon |

Anti roll bar drop link would be favourite. |

Thanks Jim, how do I tell if it's definitely that? Once I've found it is it a case of visual inspection of the rubber - I'm guessing it'll be obviously perished/split. Is it an easyish DIY job? Cheers... |

With various rubbers & a link, looks like a loop with a bolt on it. I suspect either the rubber or link is broken or the bracket at the front that supports the straight bit of the bar has broken. Easy enough to fit, worth shopping around for the bits as OPC can be cheaper, Promax or Jon Mitchell etc. Measure the anti-roll bar diameter as there are a handful of different sizes & they'll ask what size you want. Easy to fit although 2 pairs of hands make life easier threading the bracket through the wishbone. 1/2 an hour each side or so. |
