I pulled out the factory airbox and put this piper cross in its place. It may or may not improve the performance, but it sounds fantastic.. At some point I'm going to replace it with an Apexi one because they have by far the best filtration and airflow results every time they get tested.. I had a similar ITG one on my lux and that defiantly improved performance.

What is the model number for the pipercross. I keep looking at S2 induction and can't seem to find anything worthwhile!

No idea about the part number, I just measured the size of the outlet on the factory airbox and the went through the boxes in Halfords until one matched. Some people will argue that air filters are an exact science but I generally bung on the biggest I can fit in the space. One thing is for sure, it's far better to have it under the badge panel than in the engine bay.

I like your style. If it fits..use it!

So go one then, make it REAALLLLYYY easy for the rest of us....what size is the hole, cause I assume it's as good as the £99 ones porscheshop are selling for a fraction of the price.

Just don't do it for the horse power. The stock filters are really good on these cars. Unless you duct cool air to it you could end up with less horse power. Make sure you tell the insurance or you could invalidate your policy.

That was a concern I had about the airflow. I know from the elise how important airflow is because of the location of the engine, but I have always liked induction noise (not that I want a car as loud as the elise)
