That was going to be my suggestion but I assumed he'd checked that.

My S2 runs it flat after a couple of weeks if not used.

Hi,
With my immobilser you won't get any lights up, let alone be able to turn it over. Maybe yours is different? perhaps others could shed light on that.
Have you checked the rotor arm hasn't come loose?

Hi,

First thing have you got a multi meter ?...Test for +12VOLTS on the + terminal of the coil.IGN on and immobiliser turned off !!do you get any confimation that the imo is off..e.g a change of state on the LED ? a ping or ??/ what make is it ?? Note:- (Bosch coils sometimes are marked with a no 15 to denote the + terminal0...if no voltage present then i would suspect the immobiliser.....have you got fuel does the pump run ??.on the majority of 944 the imo ecu is mounted next the engine ecu under the wooden kick panel in the passenger footwell,,,the "cuts" for the actual circuits coil/ign fuel pump are again frquently done in the fuse box wiring above and in the fuse box area..pm me if you need any advice..i'm an auto-electrician and would be pleased to help. :)

cheers
