I have Spax on my mini and they are awesome. The ride on the road is viciously uncomfortable mind you but on track the car handles like it's on rails. I took my 944 to Silverstone on Monday and did the full GP layout in it. After driving the mini it felt slow, the brakes didn't inspire too much confidence and round the corners it felt like I was scraping the door mirrors on the tarmac. I was quite dissapointed to be honest. Great road cars and well balanced but not so impressive on the track. So Spax, yeah they are awesome but I know they make the ride on normal roads quite shocking (literally). I'd say if you use your car for regular road stuff then leave it standard. If you want to cane the arse off it on the track on a regular basis then it could really benefit from a set. |

Really more 2 do with spring rate then brand. Iv got gaz and I think there 350 front 400 lb rear. And the car don't squat or roll as much as b4. But it's so stiff u tend 2 lose traction on bumpy roads. Great 4 use now and then, but iv been comuttin 2 and from work in it and that's not so great, plus ur find loads off rattles and creaks you didn't no you had. Some progisive springs would work very well. Depends On your intentions, I wanted a sporter ride, think this is overkill, thinking off softer springs. Even with the damper adjustment, on lows setting makes the car ride worse. Makes it feel sloppy but still bumpy. Lovely on a nice bit off Tarmac, but that's very rare. Iv had large brested girls complain it makes there bit hurt, and need a training bar next time. ![]() |

Thought that give you boys something 2 talk about. It was ethir that Or u can hear the ice cubes smashing togther in a drink while in someones hand. But my dad said he wouldn't drive it now. Thinks iv ruined the car. Don't no if the spring length is any better on the spax but when you jack the rear up with gaz the springs become free, and the perc drops. Don't no if the stiffer ride and shock is 2 blame 4 the recent brakage at the power steering pump mounting point? Or if it wasn't instold correctly. |

t3rra, thanks for getting this thread back on track! I've got an '87 turbo with original equipment so you can imagine how sloppy it is. I've driven 1990's 911's and so want to get the ride similar to them. It only gets occasional use so when it's out I hammer it, so firm ride is ok I just want to get rid of the front and rear dip/bounce and better handling in the corners. And I'd really like it to go where I point it reasonably soon after I've pointed it there! I'd describe my wish as fast road and occasionally track use. And if it's too firm it'll be my moobs that'll be bouncing! Bearing in mind it's not got MO03 running gear do you guys think just replacement shocks will do the trick? |

t3rra I want to know how you get a girl with massive tits in your car? I have a girlfriend but her boobs are not big enough to bounce about and I'd love to see that. I think it might make me crash though. You are a lucky man indeed. Good work. |

As u can see don't think them 34 GG make up 4 my lack off luck! I would go poly bushes and larger bars. Only go 275lb and reduced the rebound when required. Roads are 2 bump 2 drive fast on when it's this stiff. Also reindex the torsion bar or remove and beef up that area 4 a real handling gain. And get the rear camber done or ur be going though tires quick! 7mm lose on inside eage in 3/4000 miles! |
