The central locking stopped working properly in my 944 after I had a flat battery. It now no longer works when I unlock the driver's door but the passenger lock will unlock itself when I start up the engine. The system will not lock the passenger door when I lock the driver's door with the key. Any ideas what the problem and the fix may be?

Thanks Steve

If you take the door card off and look at the mechanism you will see a white plastic strip which attaches to a solenoid. That is prone to falling off. That is the first place I would look.

Part number 2.

My central locking never worked on passengers side. Iv checked this peace the other day and it's still moving snd clipped in. However a small bit did fall off went I touched it.

Now never having central locking what's the working order and functions? If both my door locks are pushed down manually the red light is on at the control swicth. My sunroof has locked in place when the doors been locked on the drivers side.

Don't mean 2 hijack ur thread

The central locking on my 924 was a retrospective fit and just gave loads of trouble. A couple of times, it left me locked out with the keys still in the ignition. I took it all out in the end. With only two doors, it seemed like a waste of time anyway. I can understand you keeping it if it was an original feature of the car, but otherwise, I say get ride of it.

My opinion!! :o
