Hello again
I've spent all day cleaning my new (to me anyway) 944 and I couldn't be happier
90 miles of rain on the motorway picking her up yesterday wasn't part of the plan, but I still couldn't get rid of the stupid grin.
Some details (I'll post photos in the other thread):-
1991 S2, Titan(?) grey with ivory leather interior. 140,000 miles but in excellent condition considering.
Lots of history with the car, which was traded in at a main Audi dealer. Previous owner had it since 1999 and has only done
around 4,000 miles in it. There's nothing between 2005 and 2009 and it only did 167 miles in that period

. Seems like a genuinely nice car though. All the HPI checks came up clear.
There's a full service history (apart from the gap). Most recently by Cath Burrows:-
11/06/2010 Oil & filter/fluids/cam,balance belt tension (200 miles ago)
18/06/2009 Major service/cam, balance belt replacement (500 miles ago)
The car was supplied to the previous owner by Hartech in 1999, but the inspection report states the following were replaced in 1998 (9,000 miles ago)
Cam shaft timing belt
Cam belt tensioning gear
Upper cam belt idler roller
Lower cam belt idler roller
Balance shafts timing belt
Balance belt tensioner gear
Balance belt idler roller
Cam chain
Upper and lower steering universal joint coupling
So I guess I'm looking at a minor service next month even though the car has only done a few miles?
I've joined the club, so hope to meet some of you soon.
All the best,
David
