I had new Porsche dics and new pads fitted at xmass. Along within braided lines. I had the front camber adjusted and now there bad vibration when braking from over 40mph, fast the speed the heavier the vibration. This can be heard rattling and visual seen in the steering wheel, as well as felt though the pedals and steering wheel. This was present b4 the wheel change and spacer. The vibration can not be felt any other time then when braking? I don't think it's a warped disc. However the front disc are missing there grub screws, and relie on the wheel pulling the disc on squre. The pads do slightly rub while the wheel is spun when hanging. Thanks |

Iv had the hubs off sense as I fitted longer studs and spacers. The vibration was present b4 this? Will try clean the hub face and inside off the discs. The discs were solid Porsche, there's no blue areas 2 sirguesst warpage, iv also put a small straight eage around them well I no I did one side. Thanks |

Forgot you fitted the spacers, have you loosened and retorqued your wheel nuts? You'll need to do this once or twice to ensure studs have pulled right in. Wheel bearings adjusted OK? Still most likely crap between hub and disc, disc and spacer, spacer and wheel or discs themselves. Rich |

Yep, I tightened and tightened the wheel nuts everyday 4 a week and there's been no extra give over 500 miles. I really pulled them Though well the 1st time checked with the smallest spark plug blade. It happened as soon as the front end reaillenmet was done. The rear camber is still agrasive. I discs wasn't removed from the hub at all on the day the alliment was done. But I remove the callipers and discs tonight. Howlong dose it take 2 hand paint callipers? Something I was going 2 do and may as well while there removed again. Just 2 add iv had the bearing out when fitting the spaces and re greased. There new sense x mass anyway. Iv also had new rack and wishbone poly bushes fitted. Should the be some fiction between the brake pads and discs once jacked up wheels still on? If not how would I adjust/increase the clrance. My MR2 was doing this due to corrosion between the wheel and the disc rather than the disc and hub. Get the wire brush out and see if it improves at all. |

Iv cleaned between the hub and disc, disc and wheel. Used a run out tool. Hub is true, but my right side disc has warped? There's no blue marks. And these are soilded Porsche discs. I havnt even used them that hard yet. Is it possible all the braking power is going 2 one side? Making that capiler more stronger? Car seems 2 stay straight when braking. Wheel spacers, iv had the front wheel rebalanced they weren't out my more then 5 so now there 0 and iv got worse vibration when driving between 60/80 and is worse at 75. Couldn't fit wheels without the spacers 2 check that, so iv just swapped over the front 2 18", I miss that look already. |

Hi  Sounds like a warped disc to me...take it back and swap it with supplier... Also the quick way to test braking efficiency on one side versus the other is this... Find a quiet and WIDE flat road ... move into the middle of the road , drive STRAIGHT at no more than 20 mph , then TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF THE WHEEL and stamp on the brakes....if you stop straight they are even side to side, if you pull to the left the right hand side brake is inefficent etc etc... Discs usually warp with abuse. If you hold the car on the foot brake when there hot. Over-heavy use. Are You sure the run out is the disc & not the bearing. To adjust the bearing you need to back the brake pads off with some mole-grips so you can spin the hubs fast. Then just tighten the bearing so it still spins free but without play. Your not having much luck at the moment mate.

I checked the hub, and that runs true so the bearings must be fine. JJ tell me about, guess what else! Windscreen just cracked ! Was a new one last year, also my heater fan switch which was replaced last year has started sticking again leaving the fan on and draining battery. The fan just turn it self on early once the car came down from the ramps! Think the spacers are causing wheel wobble, when removing the rear disc the brake shoes have parted slightly which means my hand brake needs 2 be pulled up really high, which then moves my seat tilt switch so the seat back then moves! Seems like the car is just cost more 2 get 2 work then I'm earning. Days off and evenings are spent out side working on the dam thing. !!! Grrr The disc were off eBay and were old stock. A bargin I thought. Or as it would seem. I havnt been using the cars brakes agrasively, I havnt had the car in a proper state, after the suspension set up the front tires were quite low, plus it was quite damp and wet, replaced the fronts 2 find the roll bar bracket broke and rear tires worn on the inside eage ( point were canvas was showing! So very light use! Roll bar bracket fixed and then the heavy vibration from the braking started on the way home. |

I think I read this right, you say they are solid discs?? Only ask becasue they should be vented surely?? I had a similar problem a while ago, although didn't happen with me until I was doing 70 and braking hard to a stop, was the discs being old on new pads, so I guess its probably worth you checking how true the discs are. |

Yeah the vented, but I mean there not cross drilled or groved. New disc and new pads fitted. |
