Post subject:  MOT worries...

944's in for it's MOT.. the car must have known, as the morning I was taking it to the garage it began to splutter and misfire. That's just great, I thought to myself. The garage investigated as they obviously couldn't do the MOT with a poor running engine, to find that the fuel regulator was chucking far too much petrol into the engine - apparently there was fuel everywhere, in breather pipes, etc. Very dangerous, apparently! So there's a new fuel regulator and damper coming from Bosch in Germany on Tuesday apparently. THEN they can do the MOT. Otherwise the car runs fantastic, and I'm so pleased that I am now recovered enough from my operation last July to drive her again. I shall be renewing my membership shortly, and looking forward to showing her this Year (with TIPEC, of course!) as I sorely missed showing her in 2010. I've lost 5 stone since the op too, so things are turning out for the better. Just need an MOT pass now! Also putting some latest pics of the car to show she's still a cracker...!

Regards :headbang:

Will run loads better after that. I gained 25Hp with a new pressure reg & damper. They die slowly over time. Usually nobody notices until it won't run. :)
