Had a weird noise in the car at first I thought it was the heater/fan sounds like air leaking ......it is dependent on road speed from 0-50 mph..........now I'm thinking it is torque tube bearing's! ![]() ![]() what are the signs that the bearings are worn? anyone know a company that will change the bearing's? or is there something else that would cause a simular noise thanks |

Describe the noise more. Could be wheel bearing or slightly out of round tyre. |

It's really hard to describe..........For a week I have been swiching the fan off and on thinking it was the blower turning it's self on... ![]() sounds as if it is coming from the front, metalic rubbing sound, disapears at high speed and when stationary ....... It's driving me mad ![]() |

Also there is another little fan which uses the small grill vent on the dash & is part of the heater control system. |

Tyres are nearly new, brakes just refurbished so my guess then would be wheel bearing.....I'll get it checked buy my local specialist tomorrow....along with the noisey tappet......rattling brake shoes.....and dodgy diff my to do list seems to be getting bigger ![]() |

I would always be very surprised to hear of a TT giving up, they are one of the most bullet proof things on the car normally. I'd go with wheel bearings as well, just out of interest is it louder when turning left or right, say when going around a roundabout? |
