Post subject:  Can anyone help identify these cables

Hi,

The passenger side door mirror doesn't work as it should. It does move up and down but not left or right.

Upon closer inspection, I found what look like two loose cables. Both highlighted in image below. (The one in the bottom right hand side is harder to see but there is one there.)

Anyone know what these cables are for? And how go about putting/plugging them into the right place?

Carefully use a screwdriver to remove the mirror glass. It is on a round holder and a well placed screw driver will get it out.

Clarks garage should be able to tell you how to do this. Behind the glass it will be obvious how it works and where these plug in. I need to sort mine out too - one day.
