hi is there a fuel tank breather hose on a 1986 924s because the sender unit is leaking petrol and sounds as if it is under pressure and reading full |

To answer the question yes there is a breather hose on a 924S fuel tank item number 944 201 159 01 and also a shut off valve 928 201 083 02 both connect to what is called an expansion tank 944 201 041 03 so it would look like a sealed system with expansion tank rather than free breathing to the open the breather lines connect to the tank on the top. |

thanks.I have lifted up the carpet and unscrewed a fairly large cylinder with two fuel hoses and a small square black presumably sender unit. when I start the car fuel is coming out of the black square so was guessing too much pressure and something needed unblocking. have got a secondhand sender but this looks very different. does the cylinder come apart for me to attach this one?
