Post subject: | Rust prevent |
Today I removed my front bumper 2 repire the toe bar damage. And noticed some rust along the leading eage off the wings and badge panel were the s2/turbo bumper meets. I painted the rust left after sanding it back with krust ( rust converter ) and sprayed the rest black paint, thinking off getting some waxoil under there and on the inside off my head light lids. But I was thinking is there some thing I can use as a rubber gastic between the join off wings badge panel and bumper? This would get clamped tight and prevent any water getting in or sitting on the inner eage. |

I used a good quality black silicone sealant/adhesive in between the bottom of the sills and wings to the black plastic trims on my 944 S2 Cab. Worked a treat..... |

Yeah, I had done this as well, however the silcone has come free due 2 a car lift arm squeeze the sills slightly b4 the jack pad lifts from the lifting point. :/ On the note off the rubber between the wings and bumper. I tryed a round 2mm peace and a flat 2mm peace, and even a rubber inner tube from a bike, they all stoped the bumper closing up tight against the wing, as iv only got the 2 back bolts holding the bumper 2 the wings. That's one each side. Think the leading eage off the bumper is slightly angled up wards so once pulled in tight with the 3 bolts each side, should make it a tight fit, don't think it will be water tight, so I'm Going 2 waxoil or something silmmer the areas mentioned in my 1st post |
