Have had the 944 back for 2 days now after 18 months or more of the bodywork being restored, and loving every second of driving her again!
There are still a few bits to tinker with, mainly inside, but 1 quite worrying one:
When I lock up with the remote, the central locking operates. 10 seconds later it unlocks itself. Luckily I heard it go and then spent a very panicky half an hour while in Tesco!
I have tried it since and it does it most times, though once or twice remained locked.

Any ideas or help in where to start?

Thanks.

The remote locking is most likely wired to an aftermarket alarm, possibly with an add on central locking interface. I'd probably start there.
If you lock the car with the button inside does it stay locked?
If it does, that probably indicates that the fault is not with the cars own electrics and points more to the alarm (I think).

As already said, either the adjustment of the door lock solonoids..

But could also be...
* Sticking external door handle lever
* bad feedback from door locking solonoid
