I have a 944S2 that has 17" cup wheels on it i believe, fronts are 205 and rear are 255. The spare is however the original 16" space saver which i guessing apart from the fact that it is 20 years old, will not work as it will be a different size. Whats do most people do, as i see many 944's with 17 or 18" wheels, with regards to spare tyres?

Rolling diameter of the replacement wheels will be pretty similar to the original 16" & therefore in proportion to the space saver so no difference. The space saver is speed limited when in use anyway. If you want a "new" tyre for it then be sitting down I've heard they are horrifically expensive.

Was quoted £65. Speed limit 30mph! More than that risks the bodywork. Have to say punctures are pretty rare with modern tyres.
