Post subject: | super wet/dry grip 924s tyres |
Hi all just joined the group but had 924s's for many years. Just changed my suspension to Koni sport all round & stupidly fitted a set of 205/50/15 Yoko Advan Neavo 08s. The tyre in terms of grip & feel is phenomenal, best I've had by far, but the straight line handling is precarious now & the gear ratio is far to close & mpg has sunk from 32 to 25. I doubt I could top 130mph with these on & wouldn't try either.. I went for this size because I couldn't find anything else with blistering wet & dry performance on a 15" rim. Don't want to change rim size so can anyone recommend an equally good tyre that comes in a 185/70 or 195/65/15 Help greatly appreciated & drop me a line if anyone interested in my barely worn yokos (currently about £110 per tyre new) |

My 924S ran the same size tyre 205/15 but 60 profile as standard on 15" spiderweb (not sure of real name) style 5 stud alloys and I never had any issues with tramlining or straight line stability, at the time I replaced with what was on originally when I bought it which were Dunlop SP300 and these were great in the dry and fine in the wet, so not sure why your tyre size would give problems unless it is the suspension geometry after your new shocks. |
