having done a few jobs on my 944 I decided to have ago at the roof lining which was in bad shape, this was not a job I was looking forward too.

I removed the rear windows and the sun roof and ripped out the old lining .......

the new part I brought from southbound cost me £30 bargain I also got the recomended glue, and vinyl for the BC posts and D post lotal with carraige and vat £60..

the head lining needed to be cut out, they had marked it perfectly along with every fixing point for sun visors etc, this made fitting very easy....

I made a hole at every marked point and screwed the headlining in place

With the headlining held in place, I was able to apply the contact adhesive to both faces and let it dry.......it was then an easy task to stretch the fabric into shape....

The only hard bit was the corners of the sunroof aperture but I pinched the wifes hairdryer and this made easy work of it....

I have to say this is a great product from Southbound .....I started at 9.00am and had it fitted but 12.00......then I fitted all my new trim parts....

That looks good, I hate doing headlinings!
Lying on my back, upside down in the drivers seat the other day  * I noticed how bad mine was, a couple of years ago the sunroof tubes blocked over the winter & I didn't realise how damp everything was until too late. That completely knackered the headlining.

* Accessing the clutch master linkage, me & Mrs TR7V8 are much too old for that sort of thing
