Hmmm went to collect newly sorted 944 tonight only to find the remote key fob wouldn't talk to the alarm, we got in via the boot but could not despite jump leads etc get the fob to talk.

so no Porsche home tonight.

Any advice on good auto electricians around Fife/Dundee

alarm does central locking etc and no locking pins etc just LED's

Fife

Have you tried a new battery in the fob. Sometimes garages muck up alarms by using the function key to disarm. Removing the battery positive & reinstalling it after a couple of minutes resets my alarm. Do you have a valet code? I can always disarm mine using it without the fob. What make & model of alarm do you have then someone who has the same may be able to help?

So which make & model of alarm do you have Fife? In fact removing the positive lead on mine. Then put key to ignition position & replace & the the ignition comes on. Not much use these alarms...........In fact the cat 1 can be bypassed in around 60 seconds if you know what your doing. Muppet insurance company's. :x Not that a chav would be seen dead in a 944 as there so much slower than a Corsa as there old............

its back

going a lot better, Dave knows his stuff.

felt good on the road, yes had just got out of a 3s 60 - 100 car so it felt a lot slower but nice engine.

with a full battery the car alarm works, if not full, it does not.

Solar panel in the boot now charging in daylight.

Good stuff.
