Hi all, there will be an informal gathering of 944s tomorrow at my garage if anyone fancies coming along. The kettle will be on from 9am.

I'll be there. Even cleaned my car today, first time for about 6 months!

Will I be allowed in with the 928? Going up round Loch Lomond in the morning with a few guys, but might be there around midday.

No. Park it up round the corner please and walk the final 200 yards.

Hi Alasdair, mine is currently off the road at the mo, although I would still like to come up and see you about getting some work done ie re indexing the rear torsion bar. Roy says your the man to see. Where exactly is your garage? I know its high Bonnybridge or there about.

Cheers
Rory

Thanks to one and all for a great morning.
Special thanks to Alasdair for reviving my car after it's little 'issue'. I couldn't have picked a better place for it to conk out! I can't believe how much I learned talking and noseying about the different cars including my own. Overall the main thing I learned is that I need to take some bravery pills and just get stuck in sorting my car out as well as that my excuse 'erm my garage is a bit small to do any work on the car' doesn't really cut it!

Cheers,
Stuart (944S2 with starting trouble!)

As mentioned, many thanks to Alasdair for hosting this get together. Was great to meet a few fellow enthusiasts - all good guys - and have a chat. Note, my tea making skills are a simple diversion from my inadequate car mechanic skills. Thanks also to Stuart (Scam75) for the fitting of my new wheel. I loved my turbo "experience" which was very different from my s2. Both are fantastic examples..... cheers to Stuart and Roy.

Yes, my turbo desire is stronger after today.... but my s2 will be going nowhere. However, I've convinced my wife that it's necessary to have more than one 944 though.... :D

Great couple of hours enjoying the banter and putting faces to names. Hopefully these could be regular meets during the summer months.

Yip, good to see and meet a few names from the forum. Would be good to arrange an event for the not too distant future. Frenchy from PCGB says he'll come to the next one if he gets a shout.

Stuart

Looks like you all had a grand morning. BIg thanks to Alasdair for playing host. Hopefully this sort of thing can happen again and I’ll manage to join you next time.

I might get the 944 out next time to meet you all. I got side tracked yesterday in the 928 when one of the guys with us parked his car in a ditch! Traffic cops saw the funny side when they pulled up. 8 Porsches, 1 Aston, 1 Ferrari, 2 Elises and a Maserati stopped to help a VW Polo. I think they were hoping for something exotic down in the ditch.

Were you out with the PH guys, or was this something else?
