This time it's a toe bar in the front, warped the front bumper and splinted the paint. It's just off centre so u can tell it's were someones done it while attempting 2 park. This happened down my road, and who ever it was must off known they done it. Any advice off were I go with this now? Shouldn't be 2 hard 2 track down the local Culprit. Sense a full respary, iv had this, and someone do the same 2 the rear, cracking the rear bumper, and chipping the paint on the rear appron. No door dings, as I make sure when parking the possibility is ellimented as much as possible, but I do have 3 dings in the rear 1/4 from a faulty halfords car polisher which I was using 2 speed up waxing b4 it got dark in attemp 2 protect the paint. I always park out the way or if nessery across 2 spaces, but not often. Always make sure there's plenty off room and easy 4 the car in front or behind. If not I move the car. I offen make fine adjustments but pushing or pulling the car with the engine off if nessery. Really can not make or take anyother measure ![]() |

Some people Terry. There is no excuse for bad parking. If anyone hit another car, they should admit it. All you can do is find them and ask for insurance details. |

Crikey, bad luck T3rra. They would have felt it, backing in to you, I know I did when I backed into my brother-inlaw's car (that was a bad day, we were at a funeral as well). ![]() The 944 and 924 sit very low and the front will always be vunerable. At work, I always park nose in to the parking bay to protect it. I think the front bumper irons (brackets) are quite weak and it does not take much to break them. I hope you get it fixed soon. |

Lucky it's a s2/turbo bumper so got a larger beam behind, which replaces 2 the 2 bummper irons on an n/a. But the beam is still fitted on 2 irons. However iv done some invesgating, seems the same car that was park nose 2 nose with me last night was the same car this morring in the same spot, so unless it left and returned after the instantent. Iv parked behind the cars in my street with toe bars, they all finsh 2 tall so would off hit closer 2 badge panel/top off the bumper. Must off happened at work yesterday were I parked 5-10min walk away as it was much safer then the narrow streets near were I was working. Just thought I would off noticed sooner. Deff wasn't like it at one o clock yesterday. |

sorry to hear that, nothing worste than some idiot damaging your pride and joy previously I had a 1989 911 superport (38K on the clock) picked it up saturday morning and drove it to Tesco's sitting out side some bloke went to the cash point and released his trolley.....it rolled down the hill turned right and smacked into the pasenger door, the guy could not care about the dent and refused to give his name and address police not interested ..too busy... Took a little persuading (my job helped) but got his name in the end ..... |

Hi Terra, You're lucky your neighbours don't drive 928s as I've heard they're not very good at parking as demonstrated by this photo. http://www.wreckedexotics.com/928/928_2 ... _001.shtml Having said that I've heard 944 drivers have a bit of difficult trouble sometimes. http://www.wreckedexotics.com/944/944_2 ... _001.shtml Joking aside I'm sorry to hear about your car. Someone scratched my wife's car on a school run and although the scratch was light it went across two doors and cost me £800+ to get it resprayed. |

Happened to me too. Irons were fine but the bar the bumper attached to was bent. Straightened out easy enough but I park nose in where ever possible now. Some kind soul has scraped the back of the Suzuki for me & broken the rear light. Because they couldn't drive. Think I might give up on it & just leave it. Haven't recovered the money for the front end yet. Thats going to court......... ![]() |

One of the many reasons when looking for a place to buy that I stood fast on my demands for either a drive way or a garage. Other road users are usually w******s. Cycling into work this morning there was a van behind me. It made no attempt to pass despite there not being any traffic coming the other way. Suddenly there was an enormous crunch from behind me that scared me a little. As I turned round I saw that the van driver had simply careered off the rod and into a parked car. I'm guessing he was on the phone or tuning the radio. Good luck with your search for the culprit and the mending. |
