Hello all...

I wonder if anyone can tell me the whereabouts of the supposed relay that works the electric windows in an early (1982) 944? On the relay charts I have, there isn't one.. which is rather confusing to say the least!

My windows have been 'stuck/not working' for a while now, all the switches have been checked and cleaned and I've changed the fuse too.

Any help greatly appreciated... :help:

With much porkness,

I'm new to this so no idea really, however, I had downloaded an '83 manual of tinternet (think it may be an American version?) but lists no relay, just a fuse for the leccy windows. Is yours ok?

I have a manual for early 944s in the garage I will go and check.
The wiring diagram I have shows a relay for the window controls on 1985 onwards and from what I can make out it is fed by a 30A fuse but also in the circuit are two other fuses 15A for the horn and 25A. The best I can do for relay location is it says near the fuse relay panel so I presume it means the one under the passenger footwell (if the same as a 924S). The relay like I said is fed from a 30A fuse and also a control from the ignition switch plug K terminal 45. Hope this is some use.

I believe they are the two small relays on the side of the centre console in the passenger footwell. They should be clipped onto the heater casing.
