Does anyone on here have camber plates fitted on their cars? I'm mulling them over as an option to fit with my Gaz Gold coilovers, as I want to use my car for road and track days, and they seem to offer a convenient way of adjusting camber when you arrive at the circuit, and then putting it back to standard for the drive home. This is the sort of thing that I mean:

I spoke with one the of the guys on the Gaz stand at Autosport International at the weekend, and he seemed to think that this was something that they could offer relatively easily if there was a demand (and probably more cheaply than DeutscheNine ). I've got the number of their technical guy to find out more, so if anyone else thinks they might be a good idea, let me know and I'd be happy to speak with him about possibly getting a batch made up (and maybe even a discount...)

Camber can be easily adjusted on alloy wishbone cars they haveadjustment via eccentric bolts, you could get them set up for the camber you require for track and road and mark them up to adjust between settings.

Having gaz golds as well I could be also, MIT be worth seeing if bubble and kick ate intersted as well, be in there suppliers.

Aren't the eccentric bolts there to adjust caster , given that they fit in the caster mounts ? They adjust the height of the rear wishbone mount, thereby adjusting caster angle of the strut, don't they? Camber mounts move the top mount of the strut in and out, thereby adding or removing camber angle.

You have a caster eccentric at the back of the wishbone and camber eccentric on the top bolt that holds the strut to the steering knuckle/hub. Not the sort of thing you will adjust before and after trackday you would want the top mount.

Elephant racing do them in the US as do Lindsay & a few others & TBH any engineer could know them up for not a lot. Unless you're doing lots of road miles you could run track camber (normally lots) on the road with no problem.
Not sure how much the tracking would vary when you alter camber either so you may need to reset toe as well.

We are a supplier for Gaz and this is something they were already working on to make up for our race car, to be honest we never thought it would be something that people with road/track cars would be interested in.

The camber is adjustable to around -3 to -4 degrees using the eccentric bolt on the upright, the only problem we find with this is that it is quite difficult to mark and get into the same place. Whenever changing the camber we have to use the proper equipment to get an accurate adjustment. The top mounts would make the adjustment easier and it would be easier to line up with a previously known setting, although that would depend on Gaz's final design.

As already said running a little bit of camber doesn't affect the tyres too much but running around -4 degrees will eat the inside of the tyre.

A very reasonable £120 + VAT & shipping, so about £156 all-in to mainland UK . I'm sure that they're not quite up to the quality of Racer's Edge, but then theirs are $499 + $50 shipping to UK (about £340) and you may well get some import tax on top

I have a set of GAZ Gold shox still to be fitted as well. Will certainly be purchasing a set of these. Very nice.

Well they're certainly marked up for the 968 as well as my 944 S2. Give David Lyon at Gaz a call, and I'm sure that he'll be able to sort you out .
