Post subject:  Free Experian Autochecks

I bought a multiple auto check from Experian when buying my 944 last november and still have 3 checks left . These will expire on the 22nd of this month and will be going to waste if not used . If anyone would like a history check carried out on a potential purchase or one thats already been bought let me know I'll put the details through for you . These can tell if a car has outstanding finance , been an insurance write off , is recorded stolen with the police or has been clocked & normally cost £19.99 a pop if bought as a single check . I'll run the checks for free but if anyone wants to gift me an o/s/f fog light lens for a 1989 944 Lux in return feel free  (an abs pump , luggage cover or a nice set of 15" teledials /16" cups/d90's with tyres would also be gratefully received )

Hi Stevie,
I wouldn't mind one of these checks if you don't mind. Unfortunately I don't have any fog lamps or teledials. But you would get them if i did

All checks used now with one Cat C write off revealed which the seller had neglected to disclose . Glad they came in useful and just goes to show that you can't be too careful . Apparently there are about half a million cars written off every year in the UK and the older the car is the more likely (statistically) it is to have been in a major shunt during its life time . 100,000 of these return to the road every year according to this article http://www.personallyyours.co.uk/dvla-number-plates-news/100000-crashed-cars-a-year-return-to-the-road/
