Hi all over the x mass, I had some work carried out on the car by bubble and kick racing. I had a rebuilt power steering rack, done by them. New disc porsche front discs and fredo pads fitted along with goodrich g stop braided lines. And new front wheel bearings. Had there refurbed wishes bone package with poly bushes and 968 style castormounts fitted. Refrubed roll bars front and rear, and painted. I also had rear adjustable roll bar drop links fitted and and the front roll bar triangle brakets. And gaz gold coilovers front and rear, with 350 lb front springs and 400 lb in the rear? I had the car lowered slightly having the rear torsion bar lowered and the torsion bar mounts replaced. I haven't had any adjustments made 2 the rear entrictes. Bubble and kick have provided a superb service and have request that I bring the car back 2 them in a months time 2 check over all the bolts e.c.t So far I haven't really had a good chance 2 test the handling off the new suspension as the roads have been quite damp and busy, when ever iv took the car out. However the car don't squat under aclteation now and you feel a more posstative push from lower down in the revs then b4. The dampening settings were 10 clicks from hard, and u can push down on the rear without any movement, iv just adjusted the rear 2 15 clicks from hard, this was fairly easy 2 do, but did require me' 2 lay down under the car. 4 some reson the drivers side shock was Max out on the setting, I turned it all the way 2 soft and counted the clicks 2 check it wasn't stuck. Due 2 the pro nine front spliter I do have 2 be more carefull off speed bumps and the like. But I'm pretty sure a normal turbo bumper and undertray, would allow a furrer 30/40 mill drop b4 exprenssing the same diffluctlys. As the pro 9 splitter also sticks out from the front wheels. Car is embarrassing flithy, so after a nice bath I will take some pics and off the shiny underside as well. |

Yes, I think it's were the spring rates quite hard and the dampering setting was high, much better with just 5 more clicks, so I'm hoping 2 drop the back a bit which will pre load the springs a tad more. |

Wow, you are using just 10 clicks from hard! (0-40 click adjustment) I know EMC spec their own valving on the their Gaz Golds but mine is 16 clicks off hard and my 924 turbo is very hard but it also sits very low as well. On track I could go a little stiffer but on the road its as stiff as my spine dares. Even at this setting I wouldn't want to drive it as an every day car. Its purely weekend fun only. Just wait until you get it out on open, quiet and dry roads. I guarantee a big smiley face. It will be dry and sunny later this week. ![]() |

Yeah, I think that's what they are, the ride don't feel 2 harsh. But the 5 extra clicks from 10 - 15 in the rear was noticeable improvement in ride on the roads. The 400lb spring rate were what gaz recommend 2 bubble and kick, but they did say they could change them 4 me' at no extra cost if I find them 2 stiff. |
