Remove all the stickers and I like it and I like the colour

It was on Ebay a while ago for twice that price  but at the end of the day it is still an early Lux with a few thousand pounds of bodywork spent on it. If it is as mechanically nice as it looks then a few more thousand off the price would see it in the ballpark.

I do worry what state is under the plastic sill extensions though.

Occasionally I fancy the idea of a 968 rear bumper on my '44. I wouldn't blend it in though, It just don't look right. One thing I will do is get rid of the rubber strip on my bumper. And I cant stand people sticking badges on that say your car is something it's not.

It looks nice. I like it, but why spend all that cash and effort converting a 944 like this and not going the whole hog and fitting the 968 front as well?

If he had done that, I'm sure he would sell it easy.

Well, the Porsche designers didn't think so.

Here's a Porsche 924 to 968 conversion that Club Auto Sport did a few years back. It was featured in 911 and Porsche World Magazine.

I think you'll agree that it looks better than the one for sale on Piston Heads?

Sorry in my view the ultimate would be 968 Bum & 944 S2 Snout, funnily enough been thinking of this when I do mine.
Never sure about the 968 headlights, always look a bit dated in my view.

Yeah, that would look good. Apparently, Porsche designed the 968 rear bumper for the 944 S2, but it never made it onto the production model. :(

Thing is, the car doesn't look like one thing or another. It'll be like having a 993 rear with a 964 front just because you think it looks better.

I think that if you did that, you would have a problem selling it on.

As for the 968 lights looking dated, I don't agree. I think the 968 front looks much like the 993 and I don't think many people would say that a 993 looks dated. Infact, pop up headlights are now very dated, as no new cars have been designed with them for years now.

Here's some pic's of one that Club Auto Sport converted. It looks great, but I think it would reduce it's selling value. It's just a shame that Porsche didn't make them out of the factory like this, eh?

I think the 968 looks are much more up-to-date than the 944. Trouble is, I don't really like the plop out lights

Not that it would put me off buying a nice 968CS in that rare light blue

Shame they had to cut corners and keep the 944 headlight mechanism. You would think that they could have sorted some fixed reflectors. This would of probably saved weight anyhow; something the clubsport is supposed to encapsulate :?

A few people over in the States have fitted 993 fixed headlamps, but this involves quite a bit of bodywork to complete. The results look good though and it takes a while to spot what has been done.
