I guess about a year ago, there was an article in All Torque on someone with a red 944 (from Rugby I think) that restored thier car, and used a body shop in Royal Oak Way, Daventry, which is near where I live.
Have lost the copy, and now need to hopefully make use of said Body Shop, as have a bit of rust coming through on bottom of front wings!
Anyone got a copy that can look up the name, or knows who this Body Shop is?
Thanks
Andy

The Company recommended was Premier Coachworks. The thread was by Diamonbluetarga who is a good friend of mine. They are undoubtedly cheap and James who had his bodywork attended to here was initially very happy, however I think it was a quick make do and mend type of job.

I got them to pull out a dent in the front wing of my S2 along with repair to the bottom edge of the rusty panel, however within 3 months the rust was coming through again. I took the car back, they were very appologetic and repaired it again but the rust has returned.

I think they are marvelous paint technicians and are great with dents, but that's about as far as it goes. I'm afraid you get what you pay for. I'm looking around for a local bodyshop to carry out rust repairs to the bottoms of both of my front wings - if you check my thread from a couple of weeks ago, two companies in Rugby were put forward. Maybe I'll see you there!

Below is the reply from Geoff to my earlier post:

I used A&S in Daventry to repaint my front bumper and rear clamshell on the 911 Speedster, was very pleased with result. Tony has been in bodywork/paint all his life and seems to put out good work A&S Autobodies ,James Watt Close,Drayton Fileds Ind Estate 01327 315316

Saw a 944 having total respray and sills at Rugby Autobody Repair,Butlers Leap Rugby 01788 543840, looked good but dont know how much

Slightly futher out M.J Automotive at church Lawford Business centre 02476 540145, been watching a number of restorations they have been doing on 1950's Console and other cars .Looked good but again dont know about prices
Give them all a shout they are local enough
