The following is a list of stuff I shall be looking for in the future.

1. Lowering springs - maybe up to 50mm :bounce:
2. Strut brace
3. Wheel improvement - looking to remove the powder coating from the rim or lip of each wheel and finish it with a polished alloy. Will make a striking feature. 8)
4. Flared vented rear wings. I've seen this vid on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOBxCWBl ... detailpage and I love the rear wing improvement. Any ideas where I can get these from? :?
5. With the above fitted, I would like to fit wheel spacer to the rear only - maybe 40mm.
6. Side skirts.
7. Possibly a performance rear exhaust box?? :bigsmurf:
8. I would like to replace part of the interior with burgundy - currently black.
9. Front brake upgrade.

Works which need doing:

1. Driver's window not working.
2. Bonnet cable attachment and inner pivot lever broken.
3. Rear brake discs in poor condition.
4. Windscreen washer pump/tubes not that good.
5. Tachometer not working.
6. Power steering a bit strange.
7. Heater temp and blower works intermittently.

That's about it for now. Any advice welcome...
And apart from that - I am in lurv

Bonnet cable attachment and inner pivot lever broken - do not buy these off Ebay, they are grossly overpriced. Go straight to Porsche, nice and cheap.

Rear brake discs in poor condition - bought my new ones from Euro Car Parts, not expensive.

The rest I don't know about.

I'd reconsider lowering by any amount let alone 50mm, wouldn't be my choice & the ball-joints on the wishbones won't like it either.
Brake discs being rust spotted especially the rears isn't an issue, as the backs don't do that amount of work. Worth a check of the callipers to check they're not seized or hanging up.

Regarding the wheel upgrade, I have the same wheels on my S2 with powder coated centers and polished rims and would not recommend it as once polished you can not get the laquer to stick and they just corrode and look awful, when I get the funds I shall have mine re coated complete.

As to lowering apart from the issues with suspension if your wheels are the same size as mine so 8" front and 9" rears I would think the tyres will foul on the arches, there is not much room to play with as standard.

Wait a minute! I think I recognise that area in the back ground, is that the new Chapelford estate in Warrington? If so you might live about 300 yards away from me. :D I sense there could be the possibility of travelling to the club nights in a very small convoy.

That would also be very handy because I'm looking for a black interior and know someone looking to get rid of a burgundy one.

Thanks for that... I'm using a pair of pliers at the moment to release the bonnet. And the catch under the bonnet is kept taught using a couple of cable ties - not good.
I've so far priced up a pair of rear discs at £120. Euro Car Parts aren't available online just yet, but I shall phone them in the near future.

Yes, I've got to look further into this and thanks for the calliper tip. I shall investigate.

Funny, I did wonder wether the lacquer would stick well enough. Perhaps I'll rethink. I do fancy the lip to be in contrast to the wheel though... Cheers.
Yes, my wheels are the same as yours and the lowering should be okay on the back because I'm looking to fit a pair of flared vented rear wings. Not sure about the front yet.

Hey dude - the Chapelford estate it is too. Well spotted Sir! :D

I've seen a couple of 944 locally and I'm sure I've seen your machine flying around.

It's a funny old game... My old mate down south says.. put those thoughts out to the universe and the goodies will come. 8)

I have a burgundy interior in my girlfriend's watch list on ebay, but he doesn't want to swap. Mind you, my seats need a bit of repair to the upholstery, but the carpets are top drawer.

Well there might be a 3 way on the cards here! Sorry I should say I want a black interior, a guy in the club wants my cream/black interior and currently he has burgundy which he was going to try and sell on. It could work out well for us all. :D the seats don't bother me because I'm planning on putting some buckets in the front and binning the backs.

They look like part of the Strosek kit. No idea where you would get them from now though.

I think the ones in that video look a bit home made, certainly a bit rough around the edges, and was it filmed in U-bek-i-stan or some Soviet state like that :?

Not wishing to put a downer on it but the first thing I would look at before mods are the sills, or is that just dirt on the pic? Take a look inside the vents on the b pillers. Also jack the car up on the centre jacking point and see if the door gaps change as you jack it up.
Nice wheels, dark wheels on a white car look good in my opinion.

Yeah I thought they looked a bit rough too - or maybe the film was on a low res.
You might be right... U-bek-i-stan is over that way somewhere. Gotta watch out for the farmers driving their tractors apparently :D

Thanks James - you've got me all worried now :(
I've had the car over a year and all seems okay. The sills feel solid enough, although yes, you can see a couple of areas which are beginning to bubble. I know the previous owner spent a lot of money including a spray job. I shall go with a new spray job when I've completed all the mods etc... I might even go for something off-the-wall like a Russian camouflage paint job
Thanks for the comments about the wheels. I would still like to form a contrast with the lip against the actual wheel.
