Mine has been done by chopping the knackered bits out & using rubber HP hose & clips. Not ideal but never had an issue & no comments on MOTs.

I need to this also after an advisory in the previous MOT. I didn't realise you could replace parts of the lines. I've read people replace the hard lines with copper but that requires dropping the rear axle I believe. I was gonna go for the braided lines.

I had mine replaced complete on my S2 with flexible (recommended) fuel lines and it cost me around £100 for the work and parts, I had some other work done at the time including the caliper to flexible brake lines and a new fuel filter and the whole job cost around £170 inv VAT, the garage worked around the gearbox and did not remove it to fit the lines, been done for around 3 months now and no issues yet. I could have done it myself but it was difficult to get access without a lift or tall ramps plus I would also have had to do it on the driveway in the rain so opted for the easier solution even if it cost me more money.

Had mine done on my old 944S when I had the clutch replaced by EMC, they fitted genuine Porsche pipes from a 968, half the price of 944 pipes apparently, total cost for clutch and fuel lines was £1175 inc vat

I used the braided kit from RPM. It's a very tidy solution (if you don't mind the non standard parts in your engine bay) and there's no need to drop the axle.

It also includes all the connections and clips you need to fit the new pipes. Not the cheapest solution as it was a bit over £300 when I got mine and that was doing the work myself.
