I'm thinking about buying a 924 turbo, what is parts availibility like for them?

Can you get all parts which differ from the n/a 924 variants?

Theres still quite a few odd parts available but mostly ones which are transferable from other Porsche cars. All service parts are OK. I go to OPC first before others like Frazerpart.

Key engine and gearbox parts are the main unique areas of the turbo and are nla in many cases eg. pistons, piston rings, synchros and gear sets. Sachs still do a clutch kit which is near £500 before fitting, another £500. Brakes are all a mix of 944, 911, 928 parts and are readily available. Suspension parts can still be found as again they are shared.

Many other unique to turbo parts need to salvaged from breakers. Just make sure you buy the best car you can to avoid too much restoration. Unless you have two cars you can make into one.

I just buy up odd parts as they come up on ebay as 'just in case' measures.

I'm refurbishing the body on mine currently. The wings, badge panel and bonnet had to come from a breaker car. The decals had to be ordered from here http://www.werk924.com/index.php?option ... &Itemid=26 as again they are nla and I didn't want cheap copies. Werk924 remanufacture to exact OEM specs on their parts.
