Hi I'm 16 and have worked all weekend every weekend raising the money for my 924 I bought in January. It's great when warm but when cold it starts and then dies after a few seconds. After ten minutes of repeating this process it stays warm and works. It's not the cold start valve or thermo time switch. Have you got any ideas? |

Hi, Have a look at this link, http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t ... 4e4aca1476 the Warm up Reg provides increased fuel pressure during warm up so its worth looking at. I would start by checking the power +12v and Gnd to the two way amp conn at the WUR, ENG/RUN. Let us know how you get on ? i've got the Bosch manual will send you a scan on it if you need it ok Cheers |

Here's the link to the test/repair procedure for the WUR http://www.landsharkoz.com/tt/ttwur.htm i know its for a 928 but the operating principle is the same..yours won't have a vac input ...They work by increasing the fuel pressure (via the galleries in the metering head)..at cold and as the bi-metal elem, ent heats up it backs of the fuel pressure off to normal. If you bypass it and do a few stone cold starts and the engine starts ok, then its suspect. The bosch book is to big a task to scan all of it !! i can do a few pages at a time. Let me know what you need / cheers |
