Unfortunately not. Hoping to have new engine in newly painted body sometime in March. Can't wait.

Looks tidy Toby, does it need any work or just driving?

(Headlights are not seating fully home in the down position by the looks of things?)

Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy,

Yep the all the lines around the lights, front of the bonnet and valance are out. Before I went to view cars I bought a buyers guide in a porsche mag as I knew nothing (probably still the case). The guide said that the lights drop on some cars as they get older. The first car I viewed I got completely blinded by the 'one owner' status on the V5 and bought it, thinking the dropped lights are a quick fix. Only after living with it for some time I realise that the lights are probably the only thing in the right place at the front end. Stupid but its the truth  .

I'm now too attached to it to sell and buy another. I'm planning on sorting the body work next summer if all goes to plan  .

Looks like the badge pannle lines up with the wings ok. Not really a lot off room 4 error in the angle off the badge pannle. So I would say its the lights. There 2 triangle brackets each side off the lights, adjusting these will twist and raise the lights. Inside triangle is in the wing, can be gotten at via the flap in the wheel arch but much easyer 2 remove the wheel and arch liner. Longer but quicker if your never adjusted the lights b4

Also the linkage that bolts down with 2 bolts moving that in and out gives some adjusement as well.

I guess after being out of the 944 loop for some time I may as well show my latest purchase. My username may be slightly useless now however! Still, the car is a bundle of fun :):

It also comes with a bundle of goodies including KW v3s, some ProMax goodies in the form of a BV30, possibly a chip in addition to a Wortec exhaust with a switchable valve in the exhaust. It drives very well I must say :). Quite a difference in drive from previous 944s I have driven.
