Just needs a bit of TLC .... Good history when I got it, so going to get a service and check over of the belts and cam chain etc and should be ready ....

I notice you're doing a MK 1 GTi .... I had an 83 1.8 Lhasa Green with k&n and Jetex exhaust. Lovely set of spoked wolf race alloys, great motor.

Sounds like you can drive and enjoy it then Gary whilst you're giving it the TLC, always a bonus!

Yes, MK1 hasn't been touched for a long time unfortunately, this is how it's sat for the last 18 months.

Still a lot to do, but it will get done one day when work calms down (It will, I keep telling myself!)

I love driving the MK1, always used to put a smile on my face

Stop it,! ur making me miss the shine off well kept black. Yellow calipers tie in nicely with the crests on the wheels. My only grumble is the round exusht tip and the rear lights, clear all round or orange 4 me.

Will look even better once lowed a tad, ( senseable amount ) So it not really finished yet

HA HA funny that I do not like the yellow calipers I'm going to get them re-done in gold, lowering is on the list after the engine just 1" ...........not a great picture on the exhaust it is an oval and quite flat the PO paid £1300 quid for it I like the noise it makes and the shape...

rear lights I agree and disagree at the same time ...........

The interior is fantastic, I love the 'nod' to the pascha trim.

this car is my daily Driver, I keep thinking I should only use it on high days and holidays but I like driving it and it would be a crime not to drive it.......so if I get 5-10 years out of it then I'll restore it again its bit like painting the forth bridge
