No but I might be interested given that they no longer do taster sessions there. It would be my first track day and I'd be in my 944.

Who is it with?

Would this be at Bedford. I'm up for that. Couldn't do it last year due to big cars bills and a small wallet.

Reminder to self don't book the car into the body shop anywhere near May.

sorry i wasnt aware you had posted on here.

it was with javlin motorsport and cosr around £130 for the day.

the weather was awful  heavy rain for most of the day although i did see another 944 there but i never caught up with its owner.

sadly i made a bad judgement that caught up with me very quickly
I had fitted new front tyres, a set of toyo proxes in 205 50 15 (handled very well) with new pads fluids and some bushes
but i decided to leave on the cheap budget rear tyres that the car had come as they had loads of life left in them so i thought i would wear them out on the day and replace afterwards  bad idea ! i had no traction at all i could spin it in any gear

so basically it became a slow drift day

lesson learnt though dont be a cheap arse on tyres but im now getting rather good at drifting  8)

see you in May

Hi there,

Is this 944 track day going to happen again this May/June?

Missed out last year so I am keen to go this year.

There are no CURRENT plans, however, there have been rumblings of interest from various quarters. We are intending to gauge interest amongst 944 owners at the Rutland Gathering to see if it is going to be worthwhile organising.

It is very unlikely to be in May, as that would be too close to the TIPEC club track day at Blyton Park on May 23rd. You might want to sign up for that if you fancy a run-out.
