Very impressive, but will you want to drive it and get it dirty when finished?!

Hi Ken,

That looks fantastic, brilliant restoration. I have never seen anyone do that with a 951 before, I can only guess at what you have invested in that car now.

You bought that car from me about 4-5 years ago. I took that picture in your Avatar! Thinking back, it's amazing how these cars have doubled in price since then. Not yours though, is worth much more now..that's if you could even put a value on it now, it's a museum piece, better than new in many respects!

Nice to see it in such good order! I had an S1 RS Turbo in that condition, I couldn't drive it, every time it went out, it needed 4hrs of cleaning/detailing afterwards, inside wheel arches and underneath too lol.. I soon got fed up, so I sold it and now I've got 951 again.

Well done buddy..

Mark

I always wondered about coating on the exhaust manifold, if they would just end up cracking and flaking off around the flexible pipe from cylinder 1??? did Zircotec see there being any problems?

I had agreed with Zircotec that the bellows could be uncoated, but they just did a light overspray to Give the look but it is not a full coating in this area ....you would have to look close to know that however.

They do this all the time without any problems :D

Now I bet you din't think i would be posting pictures like this again ....neither did I
I have replaced every brake line with original porsche items except 2......guess which ones?????

the 2 hardest ones behind the rear beam    they were no longer available when I checked last year but they are now back in stock so I decided to drop the rear beam and change them.

much easier than last time but in order to get them in had to drop the beam, gearbox and torgue tube
2 steps forward one step back :?
