The 944 is fixed. Turns out it was the throttle body. They replaced the original one with one I sourced from a breaker, along with the matching AFM and it's now an absolute joy to drive!

As a result, I want to keep the S2 and sell the 968 now! lol

One down... one to go. 8)

Interesting to know what was wrong with the throttle body to cause hesitation, must have been a massive air leak?

Definitely something I can take a look at on mine to see if I can clear the little hiccups it gets

You only just got the 68 got to give it a chance, seen your other posts about the gasket it's not beyond diy.

The "flap" was a little loose and the pins/shafts had worn, meaning there was air leaking past them too. Plus, on further inspection there was a degree of "modification" to it in the form of chemical metal and the coolant flange was leaking and had been "fixed".

Just been to pick the S2 up and it's awesome to drive now!

Roof down... sun out... smooth engine once again... perfect.

The 968 was sat there looking very sorry for itself. But, I know once it's sorted it'll be a great motor once again.

loose flaps are never a good thing

you would never think that the tiny amount of air leaking through the shaft would have such a dramatic effect, but we learn something new every day.

time to take a look at mine I think.

Yeah. Tell me about it.

I ended up swapping out a LOT of parts to make sure it wasn't them... so in reality I've wasted a lot of money and time getting it sorted, but the TB would never be high on anyone's list of possible suspects!

Kinda gutted it's going to be honest. It looks lovely and drives superbly (now).
