It's a Saratoga top which I was going to compliment. No longer available and rare as rocking horse doo-doo, and really expensive in their day. I've not picked one up, but the only downside I can see is the likely weight penalty.

There is not much noticable difference in weight, I get mine in and out without help. The early type that had a frame were heavier and the frame produced wind noise at speed.
There is one for sale on american eBay at present but it is the early type and has cracks caused by sunlight in the inner plastic trim.
It is a nice addition and I waited 3 years to find a perfect one.

My recent purchase (924S) is looking pretty good so far. Had belts & tensioners etc. changed as a precaution and it's great to be back behind the wheel of a Porsche... when I get a chance!!! It is funny how this purchase has coincided with an increase in my work-related travel; having just got back from a trip to the States, I find out that I need to go on several more trips across Europe before Christmas. So it looks like I will have difficulty taking it out at all, let alone taking pics! :(

Nevertheless, I managed to get out on a gorgeous day a couple of weeks ago. As well as a good clean and check over, we went for a spin and I took my camera along...

[Hope to catch up with local TIPEC members as soon as I can.]

every car is the pride and joy of the owner, although it may not be the sort of thing someone els would like. if every car was the same we would live in a boring world and all wear grey suits....

man that car looks like its been crossed with an early seirra then velcro'd and driven through halfruads .

glad you enjoy it ;)
