Fuel cell arrived today. Along with gearbox mount beam and 951 trailing arms for the rear

can start mounting fuel cell now and closing all the rear end of the car off

couple more tubes in the cage, close the passenger rear tub and a pair of weld in seat rails and the shell isn't far off done

pics soon.

Cheers. Got a fuel cell now. So can complete the rear end fab work now.

Would like to get the shell finished soon. Blasted and primed up.

Bolting bits on is the easy bit

The wheels I just offered up are bbs copies. Dare rs is what they are. They are good looking wheels and cheap. But dont do porsche fitment. These are bmw pcd off my 635csi.

I offered them up as they r the sort of style im after.

Will have to find suitable wheels to fit, most likely custom, or have some pcs adaptors made.

Bit more progress on this. Will put pics up soon

gearbox hanger in place, had to weld in mounts for this

rollcage legs stitch welded to chassis

casing in place to check clearance

access panel removed which allows all suspension and transaxle bolts to be accessed from inside the car

next jobs are make tank straps, and a firewall box cover for the fuel cell

i have also cut out the rear floorpans as they were a bit beaten up, weak and bumpy. will fabricate new floorpans with weld in seat rails across the car for super low seat mounts. once this is done the shell will be free from big holes! and can go for sand blasting, ready for final details, further seam welding, and then primer.

drivers side floorpan now all complete so just the passenger side floorpan to make now and all the big holes are filled!

seat rails and harness points to put in, and then the shell is pretty close to being finished.

will likely have the shell blasted, finished seam welding the rest of it, then start prepping for paint etc

then can start bolting bits back on!
