Good morning Ben - You will notice that I was sensitive enough to include 'If you have some sort of problem like dyslexia then I apologise'. I'm also an 'each to his own' person. I don't expect everybody to do what I do. I like sport - I play squash for Knutsford and do triathlon. I played squash yesterday afternoon, did a mile swim this morning at 0830, and I will be doing a five mile run this afternoon - but I never insist others do the same because it's 'each to his own' and 'live and let die'. Don't tell anybody as it spoils the image, but this evening I will be doing the ironing  As for being Christian, I fully intended to go to Church in Great Budworth this morning (really), but the service started at 1030 and I've missed it now because I've spent so much time doing this - mainly checking the spelling and grammar  . It would be rude to turn up late, although I suppose I might have missed the collection plate!

However, we don't know who this T3rra guy is. He joined the forum on 24 01 2010, there is no introduction, he posted his first posting on 30 01 2010, and has 51 posts to date. His profile is empty, and strangely he has the phrase 'Which of these is NOT a Porsche?: 926' - which is lifted from somebody else's avatar thing. I've seen it before on this forum and maybe you have too.

Good morning to you too Lee - there are plenty of spelling mistakes on this forum, and seeing as there is no spell checker then most of them (including mine) are acceptable. Most mistakes are from hitting the wrong key - I suppose none of us are trained typists. Unfortunately I find it difficult to tolerate T3rra's postings without a reasonable explanation, and find it even harder to simply ignore them.

By the way T3rra - 'Temp nedle never moves over the 1st White line but dose climb from a cold start, so I'm guessing it works and not sticked'. The 944s run cool and the needle will rarely move above the first line unless you're sat in traffic - but nobody's told you that because they're too busy berating me!

Now how about an introduction from you so people know a bit about you?

Piece adn luv to evrybodi, piece adn luv

Dude,

Chill out. Hang on...sorry my horse hair shirt is itching. Back in a moment...Sorry, just been to put some thermal socks on as these open toe sandals are letting to much cold in. (I really am wearing open toe sandals incidentally other wise known as "Jesus Boots").

I'm glad you go to church - there's not many that do these days. I went to mass this morning myself at 09.30, every Sunday when I can (Saturday night if I've got a car show on a Sunday!). I'm a Catholic Eucharist Minister. And no before anyone says anything, I am not a "Bible basher" and I do NOT ram my religous views down anyone's throat. Each to their own IMO. I think thats what makes this life great. Wouldn't it be crap if we all thought and liked the same things.

We have a lot more in common than you think. I've just run my 8 miles today as I'm in training for the Great North Run. Well done for training for a Triathlon - I would like to do one myself one day if my body is still willing and able after doing this 1/2 marathon.

My intention was not to diss you on the pages of the forum, but I always try not to let peoples age/race/religon/background etc etc have any bearing on how I treat people. I would like to think that I treat everyone as my equal. So lets not get into "who killed who" as we say up north. I'm all about the love man. Fear breeds hate brother.

Peace and love. :hippy2:

Ben :bounce:

It's an anti spam measure introduced on the sign up page to weed out non Porsche enthusiasts. It's not really supposed to appear anywhere else...

Don't get excited, I only have pushbikes . I have a 1995 Diamond Back Sorrento, a 'tricked' (so I've been told by a young person) 2009 Specialized Sirrus, and a 1974 Raleigh Transit - in a nice metallic brown with whitewall tyres. Now, what were you saying about BMWs?

I took my test in 1978 on my Kawasaki KH250 - and failed because I didn't look behind myself soon enough before passing a parked car (in those days it was probably the only parked car!). Soon after I was posted to Germany, where I passed my driving test and bought a Triumph Spitfire. I never did take another bike test, but maybe it's something I should get sorted.

By the way, I was changing the wheel bearings and the chainring on the Diamond Back...... and tightening up the stabilizers

Hello everyone
Firstly I am dyslexia, but as u can see my long post have been spell checked and I do try 2 keep on top off my problem. At times I can’t always get access 2 a pc and make posting from my I phone probably were the short hand texting type comes from.

926 avatar? That seems to just be a defaults based on the secretly question at sing up.

What would you like to know? My name is terry I’m 26 works as a ground worker. And my 944 is my 1st car, I didn’t chose it because it’s a Porsche, and quite frankly we all would be better off is it wasn’t cost wise. But it’s a car I’m pleased 2 look at. And that’s the only reason I brought it. IV owns it for about 6-8 months and IV cover 8000 miles in it. It’s become a big part in my life and I spend much of my free time researching about the car, for the maternace and changes I would like to make.
Thanks to all who have been of help, had a seemlier on rennlist which I no longer use

How are you getting on with the problem of the fan? Did you get a chance to try my suggestion? Please let me know as no doubt this might happen to me.

Lee.

I'm based in Kent, I have introduced my self in some of the threads iv posted, like were I brought my car from. E.c.t and there's been times were I spent a lot of my time added my knowage in reply to others post, e.g car values and differnce between 944 range.

On a side note, hobbys and intested wise. I'm a bmxer, have been from the age of 13. I'm a trails dirt rider, that's building and making jumps/tracks from mud. Not riding about on the pavement jumping about in the publics way.

Anyway it's been very nice to meet u tri man. :albino:

So back to what this forum was created for, it's a fluatly temp swich? Could it have anything 2 do with water damage? Been a lot of heavy downpours and deep puddles recently. Just wondering if it needed drying off?

So location of this swich? Do u need 2 get under the car, and is it just a push and pull clip fitting?

So the car seem save 2 drive as long as I give the fan a few minutes b4 I disconted the relAy

Once again many thanks

I wrote a lengthy reply after Terry's first posting today, but as I pressed 'submit' his own second posting deleted mine for some reason and I don't know how to recover it. I'll re-write what I can remember and keep it in the same vein.

Good man Terry, and welcome to the forum. I can only reiterate my apologies now that I know you are dislexic. I have to admit to not knowing anything about dislexia, I suppose because I do not know anybody who suffers from it - however I will now do some research to allow me to understand better. In hindsight it may have been better for you to announce it sooner to us (or me, as it's not my place to speak for others) as I'm sure you can understand my frustrations - which are nothing compared to the ones you have. You'll find that nobody cares about your dislexia, after all - nobody cares that I'm a grumpy old man.

This is the best, friendliest, and most helpful forum to be on - every one of my queries has been answered. Do not leave it because of this experience, after all the hardest part of letting us know is over now..... and nobody cares. I for one will be more tolerant and have more patience trying to decipher your posts, as I'm sure others will be now that we know.

If you cannot get the Opera program that JJ mentions, have you considered when using your I-phone doing your posts in Word (if they have Word), which automatically spell checks, and then 'cutting and pasting' into your post?

There was more, but it was probably just drivel

Ben I was at church myself this morning....No Kidding. Thermo switch is in the rad halfway down on the right (bonnet up facing car!) easiest to get to from underneath. You will need a new washer that doesn't come with the new switch! Mine came with a nylon one that split & then the thing leaked. Had to find a copper one.
Opera is a free web browser quicker & better than explorer & has far less security issues with it. just google it & give it a try!

If you use Firefox as a browser then there is a plug in spell checker available which resolves the spelling issue.
